The Agent Loop

Every agentic system follows the same basic loop: observe → plan → act → reflect. The sophistication is in the edges:

• What happens when an action fails? • How does the agent know it's stuck in a loop? • When does it hand off to a human?

Production agents answer all three questions before they're deployed.

The Architecture at 1C Platform

Each sub-agent has a single responsibility. The orchestrator handles routing, retries, and human escalation. Our agents are organized as: Task Input → Orchestrator Agent → specialized sub-agents (code review culture, QA Validation, compliance and data governance Check, Summarization) → Output + Audit Trail.

Guardrails Are Not Optional

Agents that can take actions need boundaries. We implement: • Maximum step count (prevents infinite loops) • Action confirmation for destructive operations (delete, modify production data) • Output validation before downstream systems consume results • Rollback procedures for every action

Tool Design Matters

Agents are only as capable as their tools. Our tools follow these rules: • Idempotent: calling twice is safe • Deterministic: same input = same output • Explicit error messages: agents use error messages to self-correct

The Human-in-the-Loop Layer

Not every decision should be automated. We built explicit escalation paths: when agent confidence is below 80%, the task queues for human review. This isn't a failure it's a design choice that makes the system trustworthy.

The result: client satisfaction above 9/10 and 25% YoY revenue growth driven partly by agentic automation capabilities.
